Johnny X recently transferred to New York City for work. He however has nowhere to live (I suggested in a van, down by the river). Don't cry for him, Argentina as he makes mid-six figures (he does after all work in the private sector) so if he has to spring for a hotel while looking for a place to call home, he can afford it.
So I sent him an email with the difficulties of my life- I said it would stop him from being all 'woe is me' while staying in the penthouse suite of the Four Seasons and eating at Peter Luger's.
I then did a search on Peter Luger's menu to throw a reference at him and found the following-
No credit cards are accepted at either Brooklyn or Great Neck locations. Accepted forms of payment are Peter Luger house accounts, US checks with valid photo ID, and US debit cards.
Which raised a question- what about cash? Not that I have any of it, nor that I will ever be able to eat at Peter Luger's on a state salary (and notice they don't give out loans, though I wouldn't qualify- the first question on most applications is 'public or private sector' and if you check public...oh well, please don't steal the pens on the way out)
