A little elbow grease

For all Zjabs incredible talents, one he does not possess is mechanics.

And thus annually his battle with the lawn mower.

I'm writing this in early May.  My arms are killing me (I just flew in from Rochester....)

I got brand new gas (after having emptied the tank last year) as gone are the days when you could leave the same gas in for a couple of years (apparently it breaks down faster now).

And after twenty minutes of fiddling, the thing still hadn't started.

I did see a neighbor using the old push mower (powerless), so I asked to borrow it.

It gives a terrible cut, and kills the arms (but on the plus side, the busybody neighbors cannot report me to the city for allowing the grass to grow on MY property...the joys of busybodies).

I did then go back to fiddling and got the mower to start and run for about five seconds before stalling- at least we're making progress!

(Going to have Johnny X come by and work on it- he can do that sort of manly stuff.  Maybe I'll bake him some quiche while he works....)
