Like anything else, there are good and bad. Now some are bad in any context (in other words, very little talent or content). Others are pointless navel-gazing to me HOWEVER they have their target audience, and they may be incredibly good reads within that context. In other words, I couldn't give a darn about your experiences with baking, but to the baking community, perhaps it would create a buzz. And another point- to those of us who are persistent- we have built characters that our readers can relate to- and I think Bob is discounting that. We've met, and I'm a different person that the know-it-all character I play on this site- but do people want to read an opinion or do they want to read dithering? Column after column of "you may have a point" wouldn't get a lot of readers.

Editor's Note: It's too bad more of us could not have met each other face to face still there have been a few here that might not have found doing so in their best interests.
