I enjoyed your column and wish you the best of luck in the future. As for me; being "On a roll," means being turned and rolled down the long slippery slope of bad misfortunes. But I have learned to deal with the Mr. Unlucky side of fate with a smile, a song, and a prayer.
May God Bless You and all who still gamble with the hope for better things in life. (spiritually, not necessarily materialistically.)

My hubby was lucky like you have been lately, Marilyn, he always won money at casinos and on cruises and such, but none of his luck rubbed off on me. One time he bought a lottery ticket and had five numbers and thought we were going to be rich, unfortunately a gazillion other people had those numbers too and he only won $19. He was a poor sport about it and quit buying lottery tickets. Anyway, I hope Lady Luck continues to smile on you.

A couple of weeks ago at an Amerks game, I was one of 10 people who won a bag of goodies from the NY Lottery. One of the things in the bag was 25 scratch off lottery tickets. I was like a kid at Christmas wondering if I would be a big winner. When all was said and done, I won $33. If I had actually bought those tickets, it would have cost me $50. And the bag is pretty nice as is the shirt, etc. That same day I won a 50/50 raffle. It was only a $1 but it was the start of my lucky day.

we had our own little streak of luck, with the initial lake house property we got if for about 40% off the original asking price, then we bought another at 60% off the original asking price!
