Hi, little john! That was very interesting. I am pretty familiar with a few of them. Ironically (as usual) I woke up from a dream this morning involving the psychology of Human Interaction: I had taken an aptitudes test battery (lot like what they did in military boot camp). The tester was showing us our scores, and my math was a terribly disappointing 63/100. I noticed another guy had gotten 60 and another 68 (which was considered good). The tester asked me what I thought and I said, "Well, I guess I've gotten inexplicably stupid; I have always scored 99." Back to the Real World: In 1965 (at the age of 17) I worked at the Psych Dept at the University of Rochester (NY) as a lab assistant/Igor. My job was to shine truck headlights into the face of "subject" and then ~see~ how many little triangles and squares they could count on a dim screen. The more they got right, I would hit this solenoid and nickels would go down a chute into their bowl. What I MOST noticed was that many/most subjects were shamelessly CHEATING! They would close their eyes when the bright lights were on and lean forward when scrutinizing the screen. Even though it was not my job, I would use my Good Judgment, taunt and call them idiots as I slap them around a bit - NOT. The Scientific Method is a wonderful thing! Tom

Editor's Note: Thanx for the neat comment. I have seen these things in action, both in the military and civilian world of psychological operations...

Human Nature is very malleable, given the right drugs, (alcohol?too), and or bad incentives...

in the history of my life, i don't think i have ever read a more perfect piece for the time it was posted...only thing is we need to get this out to millions of folks...great, great work, LJ

Editor's Note: I need to get some of these together to share with others...I am very disjointed, incoherent, and in-cohesive at times, but maybe it will all come together some day...

Actually, I can see how the whole primary "game"; is rigged by several of these experiments...

No wonder there are so many mutants out there in the race...
