Whether or not Iran annuls last week's election results,  a move supported by the 12 member Guardian Council whose investigations of voting manipulations have turned up 'irregularities' in 50 cities across Iran, affecting several million votes, the reform genie is out of the bottle and cannot be put back in.
 
For this, the world owes Iranians a debt of gratitude. By standing up for their rights, and demanding the freedoms that we here in America take for granted, these brave Iranians have managed to force military action off the table.
 
In the court of public opinion there is no longer room for any sort of military offensive against Iran, not from the US, not from Israel, not at this time. Whether reform comes to Iran sooner, or later, people around the world have seen a side of Iranian character that they can identify with; a noble and courageous side.
