There are many who hesitate writing he because the don't consider themselves talented. Others feel they have nothing to say.

Some of the best writing I have experienced here has been slice of life real stories of the writer's experiences either as an individual or part of a family.

This is not a group intended for accomplished professionals who have the writing thing down to a science.

Although I Am saddened that the political Bloggers seem to have squeezed much of the other talent off the site a few writers remain. The lack of response to good writing is sad since the bloggers seem to ignore any talent that doesn't comply with their desire to be in constant discussion of politics, morality, or current events.

There is more to life. When I came to WOTL we had more of a mix of writers, artists and a few bloggers.

Some have left after being turned off by controversy and strong dialog.

I have seen an effort to welcome new writers. The lack of a rigid set of rules enables on to write on almost any subject in any style they want. New writers are welcome as there is no clique they need to break into or be a part of to write.
