THE ROSY CRUCIFIXION

a soul set free

From the Earth He rose,

Slowly at first

Then Sun's rays beckoned

Standing, the trek began

Arms outstretched from his side when

from behind

the beasts of fear

and guilt

beckoned

Turning he saw

-a shadow cast upon the ground,

transfixed the Rose,

Crucified

upon a cross of time and space

till the thought echoed within the heart,

"am I not more

than mere reflection?"

on his back

the Sun's warmth waited

turning, turning

freed at last
