I've also pondered just how "scalable" are our rights?

I seem to remember one of our founding fathers saying something about this great American experiment depends on an educated and polite society.

It seems to me that we hasten the crumbling of our rights when we behave stupidly. If "for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction" then perhaps the corollary might be; for every "stupid" there is and equal and opposite "stupid" to be applied by government?

Editor's Note: I have no doubt the key is education. It's a problem that wont be fixed overnight or even with one administration.

thumbsup.gif "Core Education For Dummies" published by Albany NY High Court of Regents...

Editor's Note: .does this referbtomthe Core Curriculum controversy. In my opinion it seems like the right idea. It may be upsetting the wackos whose philosophy of education and my own differ widely.
