Absolutely had not thought of this but I fear you are probably right. This guy needs to rot in a cell for the rest of his life and he may just be a free man within five years for the SCOTUS throws the case out. I wonder if the judge was trying for this?

Editor's Note: No, I think he was shooting for this case to be out of his hands. Because of how this guy reacted to being caught (didn't deny it), his only defense was to make it about abortion. I think the judge simply wanted to get rid of this hot potato. Simple as that.

Remember that he was being pressured by a group of people who are known for legal harassment and flinging lawsuits around when they don't get their way. It was much easier to lynch the guilty guy and roll the dice. What he (Roeder) did has no support even from the pro-life camp, therefore I'm sure he (the judge) hoped he'd just go to jail and that would be that.

We'll see I suppose.

To quote Attorney General Eric Holder: "I'm not scared of what Khalid Sheikh Mohammed will have to say at trial -- and no one else needs to be either,"

But we are afraid of what Roeder, an American citizen who murdered one man, might say.

Thanks Mickey!
