I SO agree with you! Shopping with my 21-yr-old granddaughter used to be fun. It isn't anymore. There's nothing that covers enough. And the fabrics are so thin they only have one side. A person needs to layer half a dozen shirts to get the effect of one.
Even the sewing patterns are for indecent dresses! My sis-in-law makes Easter dresses for her nine granddaughters. This year she had to make jackets to cover the tops of them--even the one for the baby.
The sad part, for me, is that demand drives supply. As long as there's a market for such items, they will be readily available. If no one was buying them, the fashions would change. Editor's Note: Its definitely a problem- we should do something about... a chain of stores in every town... called Cover UP!

I like your idea! Too bad I'm too old [and too broke :<( ] to run a business! There is (or was, at least) a store that was called "Knee-length Shorts" or something like that. By the time I heard of it, I had given up shopping with my granddaughter, so I've never been in it. I hope it still is there, and thriving! Maybe they sell dresses with tops, too. Editor's Note: Thanks!!!!

Grrrr! Clothes! My 14 year old daughter thinks an outfit consists of 3...maybe 4... Band-Aids! We try to keep her dressed in QT's old garden coveralls. Hubby QT(stands for Cutie and/or Quarter Ton), is very gracious in relinquishing his old Carhartts. Editor's Note: Good man!
