What Moe said!
If only the uncles had been thrown into the river... Editor's Note: no kidding! I never thought about throwing them into the river.

Wonderfully written story and what a combination of joy and tragedy - 10 people raised by the same parents, 7 get along and 3 focus on the petty. Editor's Note: My dad and I had a conversation yesterday about the piano. When you have an embittered hard heart, you can not bear to have anything good around you. Music could touch their hearts, so they wanted it out of their lives.

I got up early to make sure I read this - what great story and your telling of it is a gift to all of us - I too have a wonderful memory of a piano, although vastly different than yours.... Editor's Note: Gratitude for good things in our lives helps us not notice the irritating things. This was an exercise in happiness. I had a great time writing it and then reading it to my dad.

I didn't realize this was a 2-parter, so yesterday I was mad at the uncles about the piano! Today I loved your Dad for what he did. Very beautiful and emotional story, Miss K. Editor's Note: Thank you for the compliment. I had to leave it because in my mind that was the way it ended.

I think those two scalawags should have been dunked in the river on more than one occasion!!! I remember those two rather well!
We are still praying for your Papa! Editor's Note: Thanks dear, we are still here!
