Here it is, another January, another new year.
So, what does that mean? It means a new calendar. It means having to remember to write 2012 instead of 2011 on your checks and other papers. And it means people trying to better themselves by way of what are called 'New Year Resolutions.”
But don't kid yourself. You're the same person on January 1st, 2012, as you were on December 31st, 2011. You may think or say that you are going to lose weight, or be nicer, or give up smoking, or something else, but it won't last... for most of us.
Chances are that you'll make an effort for a short time, and then you'll go back to being the same person you were in 2011.
So, unless you have the extraordinary determination and willpower that it takes to change, don't waste your time, because by the time 2012 is over, you'll probably still be the same person as you were in last week, but just a year older.
